Holy Tide is a new, powerful project, formed by the will of Joe Caputo, Italian bass player and composer.
Joe composed all music and lyrics of Aquila, Holy Tide’s debut album in January 2017.
After that, he managed to gather an international line-up of musicians coming from different parts of the world, such as the singer Fabio Caldeira from Brazil, and guitar player Gustavo Scaranelo (who also mixed and mastered the album) , and the British drummer Michael Brush (Sirenia, Magic Kingdom).
In March 2019, when the recordings of Aquila, which took place in different studios around the world, were finally completed, Joe signed a record deal with the Italian label My Kingdom Music, who released Holy Tide’s debut album.
The album has been welcomed with great enthusiasm by both press and public, resulting in many amazing reviews, describing Aquila as one of the best Heavy Metal releases of 2019, due also to the very special guests who accepted to take part on the album, such as Tilo Wolff, leader and master mind of the world famous Gothic metal act Lacrimosa, who sings some great German lyrics on the song Lamentation, and, last but not the least, the great "Maestro" Don Airey, keyboard player of Deep Purple, who played some amazing Hammond on the song “The Shepherd’s Stone”.
In August 2019, Joe flew to New York, where he met David Shankle, former Manowar guitarist, who will join Holy Tide for the 2020 tours and for next record, which is already in the works.
