Costa Rica’s Savage Existence delivers innards-twisting groove metal with elements of southern
rock, heavy vocals and melodic interludes, carrying listeners through a diverse metal vortex
representing the international origins of the band.

Created by two Canadian musicians, Daniel Cleland (guitars) and Jesse Radford (drums),
Savage Existence emerged from the swamp of 2020 when the world was on lockdown.

After recording their debut “Animals” with world-renowned producer Logan Mader (Machine
Head, Soulfly, Once Human, Gojira, Five Finger Death Punch, DevilDriver, Cavalera Conspiracy,
etc), the two Canadians partnered with acclaimed Anton Darusso (RU, vocals) Andres Castro
(CR, lead guitar) and Logan Mader (US, bass) to become the merciless predator Savage
Existence is today.

Managed by groove metal pioneer Dez Fafara (Coal Chamber, DevilDriver), Savage Existence
is now touring with major international acts across the Americas.

Their recent self-titled album includes several guitar solos from Gary Holt (Exodus, Slayer) and
preempts this band’s ascension to prominence in the international metal scene.

DOUBLE BARREL EP

The Double Barrel EP is a succinct tribute to two influential bands for Savage Existence: Machine Head and Lamb of God. Savage Existence debut album was produced by good friend and guitar legend, Logan Mader, who not only produced the original album “Animals,” but laid down some super tight lead guitars.

When we asked Logan which song he’d like to cover from Machine Head, he immediately suggested Old, which is one of his all time most successful songwriting accomplishments.

Mixing the “old” and the new, Savage Existence both covered that classic Machine Head song from the mid 90’s with a modern track from the 2020 Lamb of God self titled album, upon which Logan is also featured on the lead guitar. And we made sure the strings were fat and the tuning was LOW.
