Who is Savage Existence?
Savage Existence is a Heavy Metal/Death Metal band from Costa Rica. Their sound is a unique heavy melodic groove metal that has been inspired by bands such as Soulfly, Slipknot, Clutch, Down, Sepultura, Pantera, and many others. Their debut album Animals was released in November 2021.
The band’s founders, Daniel Cleland and Jesse Radford produced their debut album with world renowned metal producer and famous musician, Logan Mader. After tracking the bulk of the instrumentals from their debut with Mader, Cleland and Radford partnered up with three members of the Costa Rican power metal band, Wings of Destiny, including the 20-year veteran singer and classically trained musician, Anton Darusso, along with lead guitarist Andres Castro and bassist Emil Minott.
Their songs are about overcoming obstacles in real life, strength, and internal struggles, as well as exploring the psychedelic vibe of an ayahuasca experience.
Double Barrel EP
Savage Existence’s debut album was produced by good friend and guitar legend, Logan Mader, who not only produced the original album Animals, but laid down some super tight lead guitars riffs. The EP was released on all streaming platform. Listen to both "Resurrection Man" and "Old" on Savage Existence Spotify artist.
